The Focus

Are you a dreamer or an achiever? Or both?

It's nice to fantasize about good things and how we want them but it's even better working towards the things you wish for and actually owning them.
Laziness is a habit developed over time but just like every habit it can be broken, given the right mindset.

Hard work partnered with drive pays off.
Applying these three D's will allow you to effortlessly achieve your goal(s). Also following them strictly with consistency will derive even greater results :
Dedication
Determination
Discipline

While dwelling on the different connotations of D, it is important to steer clear of these three D's:
Distraction
Discouragement
Depression

Distractions come in all shape and form. Social network, media, technology even friends (yes friends). Some of you may disagree with that last part but I think it's better for me to highlight why.
Friends are the easiest form of distraction as they could easily distract you without you knowing and you are left wondering where time went. When you are engaging in futile and unproductive ventures with them whilst you have pending matters, this is a classic case of a distraction.
For example: You have a piece of work due in 2 weeks, friend A invites you for an outing trying to convince you to come. You thinking "hmm 2 weeks is still far why not, just one night and I get to see all my friends". My dear time is beyond precious and does not stop/wait around for anyone, before you know it you are left with just two nights to complete your work exerting more pressure on yourself (which isn't even good health-wise).
You may be thinking "what is this girl talking about, it's just one night" well in that one night a lot of research and preparation could have been done which could ultimately affect productivity time. Because once you get distracted you may lose motivation and being a university student once, I know this much that losing motivation and regaining it can be very challenging and draining. So why not avoid all that in the first place.

Not saying your friends are bad for distracting you but at the same time don't expect everyone to understand your 'dream/goals', we all want different things in life and we go about them in different ways. For the sake of repetition from a previous post never compare your level of progress just face your own, how you are going to get there and not getting distracted in the process.
Failing to prepare denotes that you are preparing to fail, so allocate your time properly and be sharp/firm with your decision making. "A stitch in time saves nine".
Distraction leads to discouragement which in turn could result in depression because you are thinking of all the workload you have ahead of you and the little time you have to do it due to an oversight on your part.
Set your priorities and get them straight. We have this thing where we want to always please others, human nature I say.
Newsflash: YOU CAN'T PLEASE EVERYBODY.  It's improbable. People will always talk, complain, moan. That's life and you just have to deal with it. This is something I've learnt.
Take each day as it comes and utilize it effectively without leaving room for negativity.
That being said adopt the mindset of a winner, a fighter, one that wants to conquer against all odds. Also look after you. Health is wealth.

Stay focused, you can do it.

Have a lovely week :)

Kisses
xx
