Love She Wrote

It's St Valentines Day so it's only right to put up this post lol :)

Love can add so much beauty to something tarnished. It's like a flower that has blossomed into its full form.

Radiating all over with goodness and making you see the beauty in everything.

Some believe in it, some don't. It's your prerogative really. 

Experiences often have an influence regarding how you perceive this emotion. You can call it bitter-sweet. 

With the good also comes the bad. That being said it all depends on the individual.

Love is a beautiful thing when reciprocated, otherwise it will be like watering a very dead plant. 

As humans we automatically have a fear of being vulnerable, putting ourselves out there, opening ourselves up and giving another human the power to hurt us (if they so wish) or otherwise. 

You see the thing about vulnerability is that you are taking a huge risk with yourself and always hoping for the latter. 

Love isn't a feeling you can control. You feel this burst of happiness surging through you, can't seem to stop thinking about them, always going the extra mile, they put a smile on your face constantly and you have that spring in your step. Making an effort to put a smile on their face and make them happy, sharing everything about you with them. 

Love is consistent. It's not a power trip. Keeping counts of right and wrongs..Nuh uh. 

When you do things out of love it doesn't feel like an obligation, it just comes naturally. You can't force love you have to be patient and let it grow. 

Watching it grow, now that's the reward. Each day filled with it is a million times better. 

Have I ever been in love? Nope (I thought I was though)

I'm I currently in love? Not at all.

I mean you have people you care deeply for and you would do anything for them but it does not necessarily mean you are in love with them.

When you are in love you will definitely know. You don't need to ask. 

You won't need to tolerate them, you accept them for who they are

That calmness you always feel when around them. They help you become a better version of you (Version 2.0 should I say lol). 

They challenge you in every way possible. Nothing is ever a competition with them. They help lift your mood instantly whenever you feel down.

Sounds like a fairy tale right?. Truth is love does not hurt or take advantage.

 Love is kind, gentle and understanding. Yes you have ups and downs and trials but loving them is what makes the flaws easier to deal with.

Some of us feel it straight away, with others it's built over time. 

Now don't be a fool for love and decide to turn a blind eye to matters that are clearly unacceptable. That's not love, that's just plain outright foolishness. 

Never confuse lust with love. Yes you can still get butterflies with lust. But the difference is that it is just pure infatuation which eventually fades over time.  You would be obsessed, wanting to see them, be with them, speak with them but beware because it does not last. Puppy love as I call it.

That all being said we all have a different perception of love.

And lastly do not feel pressured to fall into love or find love based on your surroundings and what you see everyday around you. Not all that glitters is gold my dear. 

You see what people want you to see, besides envy is not really a good trait.
